Caffeine Boost with Nitro 7 Coffee and Tea

I. Love. Coffee.

I have an article solely dedicated to one! And I know most of you also love it. Heck it probably makes your day a whole lot better having a cup and lately I discovered a new cafe that serves a different kind of coffee which I know some of you will like - Nitro Coffee at Nitro 7 Coffee and Tea.

What is Nitro Coffee?

Nitro Cold Brew Coffee is a coffee charged with Nitrogen which gives it a rich, creamy head similar to other nitro draft beer like Guinness. And if I explain further you would think this is about science so let's move on okay? haha

Nitro 7 Coffee and Tea is actually one of the first establishments in the Philippines to produce this in the country and they currently have 17 branches. Being the first in the Philippines market, its definitely a great achievement if you ask me.

And if you need a caffeine fix I would suggest you try it here since its also low acidity which means that it won't give you acid re-flux which tends to happen if you drink too much caffeinated beverages. I know most of us do wag na kayo mag deny.

Nitro 7 Coffee and Tea actually serves them in different and I was able to try two which is Nitro Black (120 pesos) and Strawberry Creme Nitroccino (160 pesos) So here are my thoughts about these two.

Black Nitro (120 pesos)

This for me is an Iced Americano on steroids and yes I said it! Its full on flavor and has that sharp bitterness but doesn't go on overdrive on my taste buds. I do love my coffee black with no sugar or any other added on to it which makes you experience the full flavor of the coffee... and here I am talking too much about coffee haha

Overall I love this! If you buy this and just look at it you will think it is Guinness but its not.

Strawberry Creme Nitroccino (160 pesos)

This one is actually the counterpart of Nitro Black in my taste buds because its super sweet for me. Its not something I hate but not usually what I will get in a cafe. The strawberry taste is like real strawberry which is sweet with a little tartness into it, I do like there is some creaminess into it which slices the sweetness for a bit. Its the kind of drink I think is best to have if you need a sugar boost for the day. This drink is not for me but I think others will like it.

And besides from the drink I was also able to try their food and their food is GOOD. Period. nah just kidding I know you want to know more LOL

PIZZA

Nitro 7 Coffee and Tea also serves pizza. I was only able to try two out of the four flavors that they offer: Pepperoni and Garlic and Cheese. The other variants are Italian Sausage (335 pesos) and BBQ Chicken (350 pesos).

The Pepperoni pizza (335 pesos)  is nice because its thin crust and they didn't scrimped on the toppings. The taste is quite salty but if you pair it with the Nitro Black it actually cuts the saltiness which I like.

The Garlic and Cheese (320 pesos) is actually my favorite because its flavor is just perfect for me. I love how the pizza has a little smokiness in it which I love the most.

Wrap n' Roll

This is the Frank n' Cheese (125 pesos)  which is one of the latest addition to Nitro 7 Coffee and Tea food servings. Its a Frankfurt sausage and cheese wrapped in a soft tortilla and toasted to its cheesy and chewy goodness. This is actually great to enjoy while its quite warm because the cheese pull would definitely be amazing.

eto na yung last item guys wag na kayo magalit sa gutom nyo ha. sorna labyu

Hot Pressed Sandwiches

And the last item on the menu I was able to try is their hot pressed sandwiches that comes in four variants: Three cheese (115pesos), Corned Beef (115pesos), Tuna and Cheese (115pesos), and lastly Ham and Cheese (125 pesos).

I was able to try the Ham and Cheese and 3 Cheese. And oo gusto ko ng cheese wag na kayo magulat The hot pressed sandwiches are actually one of my go to food when I am at a cafe because they look so delectable and they also taste amazing. The Ham and Cheese didn't failed my taste buds one bit and I would definitely go back next time just for the sandwich and Nitro Black because they fit together. I can only describe 3 cheese as the kind of sandwich I would get if I want to have my cravings satisfied. The creaminess and sharpness of the cheese is a perfect combo with the Strawberry creme Nitroccino.

Overall my experience at Nitro 7 Coffee and Tea are amazing. Another reason why I would go back to Nitro 7 Coffee and Tea is they are affordable compared to other coffee shops in the metro that usually would cost me half an arm and some toes to afford. I will go back if given the chance and luckily they have 17 stores around the metro so I will surely grab a bite from them very soon.

Check out their Social media pages too for more updates and information.

Much love!

Calling All Coffee Lovers! Catch the Philippine National Barista Championship This October!

Coffee. Some people they drink it to keep themselves awake, some would just drink one to keep sane from the work load, homework and cramming needed to be done before the deadline.

But if you are like me, I treat coffee with lots of respect and not take it for granted - just like a barista. Because coffee is not just a drink - its a science and art to perfect it.

Coffee and Alcohol at Tipsy Bean

I love coffee. Need I say more?

I was actually surprised with the thought that coffee can be added into a meal and with alcohol.

I sound so noob saying it but its true! One fact in that is this quaint restaurant I visited recently.

Tipsy beans is a restaurant and a coffee shop rolled into one. They serve a variety of foods from rice meals to pastas and also some drinks that are good for a sober up or to get tipsy. Sounds interesting eh? I'll tell you more about it here.

Experience 3rd Wave Coffee with Coffee Empire

Coffee. I love coffee. There is just something about coffee that most people love. Most people depend on it to stay awake all night to finish a project or to wake them up in the morning. Some people like to enjoy a cup of coffee just for the relaxation it gives.

But its most coffee shops are just the same don't you think? I was thankful to experience a new kind of coffee experience with the Coffee Empire a couple of weeks back.

Their first branch along the stretch of West Avenue in Quezon City is from the brainchild Chef Ernest Joggler Martin and entrepreneur Anthony Lim.

Their winning ticket for a new kind of coffee experience? The third wave coffee concept. This concept aspires the highest form of appreciation to coffee.

The preparation of coffee has actually become an art in which each step is specifically calculated from the sourcing, roasting, all the way to its final brew. With this kind of experience, We will be able to experience the finest coffee of the world also with what our coffee can offer.

The Coffee Empire offers a wide selection of high-grade, hand-picked coffee beans roasted to perfection and served at its peak where the balance of its tastes, texture and aroma is achieved.

I was really amazed on their coffee bean selections from here to abroad. I was able to sample an espresso made from the best coffee beans from Baguio.

The opening was really a great experience because they also held a competition for latte art which features some of the best in the metro. Of course the contest will not be one if there is no prize right? The prize for the best latte art is an iPhone 5!

How envious I am for the winner but quite honestly I have never seen a pack of men oggle during a cafe latte art competition like this. It was something to be seen really.

Please do visit Coffee Empire soon! They are located at 74 West Avenue, West Triangle, Quezon City (Besides Hap Chan)

Make sure to visit as well their Facebook page for more updates.

The Appraisery: My kind of coffee shop.

I like love coffee. Next to tea, soda or other beverages I really love drinking coffee. There is just that something nice to drinking some coffee. I could drink it hot or cold but it would really depend on the coffee shop that I go to if they serve great coffee.

I stumbled upon this coffee shop a couple of weeks back on my way home..which technically I was not feeling going home yet because I felt bored..so I stopped by Cubao expo and found this coffee shop.

According to one of their employees they have been in cubao expo for about half a year but they had their store at greenhills before. I was actually interested in the store because of its interiors. They have these black boards that has writings regarding supporting local brands, pictures from local artists and also about games.

I am not a gamer but the games that they feature here were the ones that only see on big bang theory..sort of.

Then off I go and bought myself a cold Americano and just chilled outside. I was really hoping to end my not so eventful day with a cold americano and just let time fly by. Then one of their patrons approached me which actually threw me back because I was not really hoping to talk to anyone. He invited me for a game of 7 Wonders.

I was not a gamer but I guess playing with random strangers wouldn't be a bad thing right?

I was actually able to play with the owner of the Appraisery and he is really nice and he taught me how to play the game. If you ask me how I would rather crawl underground and cry because the game is simple in context but still complicated. Still a great game nonetheless.

According to one of the patrons, the store has weekly featured games in which you could come n and play with other gamers just for the heck of it - of course you need to purchase something from the store.

The food that they offer are pretty cheap which ranges from 70php to 150php. They also have great deserts which are still within the budget of college students.

Over all, I think hanging out here would be a great thing to do. The Appraisery has a very chilled vibe to it that most college students and yuppies alike that will like.

Make sure to visit them next time you are in Cubao Expo!

Much Love!

Fall in Love with the Sweet Scent of Nescafe's Cappuccino

Coffee is something that I love. I don't know why but whenever I drink coffee I feel like I am in heaven.

Don't you think the same?

Nowadays I have been drinking this new coffee from Nescafe - The Nescafe Cappuccino!

Its a complete coffee mix with a cappuccino taste! - well according to the sachet that it. Basically it is a do-it-yourself Cappuccino! Personally I don't drink cappuccino since its a coffee that has some foam into it.

Here's a how to do it:

1. Pour the contents of the sachet in your cup.

2. Pour water halfway - but since I forgot that step you can pour the hot water at least near the rim of your cup.

3. Stir the coffee till your see the foam!

4. Put the chocolate sprinkles on top

And ENJOY!

Quite frankly I like this drink since I don't have to add sugar into it. The only thing I don't like is its not that frothy enough EVEN when I did what it said on the instructions! But of course its not like something we can do on one try.

Overall this coffee treat from Nescafe is something that I think I will really like more since the scent is actually quite relaxing. The process to make it is not as hard as you think since all you need to do is pour some hot water and stir - simple as that!

Have you tried these? Let me know on the comments section below.

And for now I will leave you with a picture of my dear cup of Nescafe Cappuccino.

Much Love!

Starbucks: My Sweet Addiction

Hello there!

Did you ever had a starbucks addiction? if you do then welcome to the club!

When I was working in the call center industry, Starbucks is like one of those establishments that you just have to go through so you can get your fix for the day. Back then, I would definitely go for a mocha frappucino or a coffee jelly one- but my definite love is Starbuck's Dark Cherry Mocha Frappucino.

I don't really know but back then I was just in love with this drink. Don't get me wrong - I still love it but its not the same anymore since I've heard that this drink is only available during the holidays (boo!). One thing that I love most about this is it is not an ordinary drink for me. The drink is full of surprises for me since you have a mix of cherry, dark chocolate, the whipped cream and of course the coffee.

I just love this drink that back in December I got this drink at least three times that month. I think of this as a luxury drink for me for a job well done. I have worked my ass off so I think I deserved one...or two..or three of these haha!

Starbucks here in the Philippines is a bit steep in price for some, but if you really want one you have to shell out some cash. There are some that would buy one almost everyday - I was one of those when I was working in the call center industry. I don't really blame them since they have a higher salary unlike the average salaryman.

But overall I think I will still grab one of these babies if I get the chance.

How about you? Do you have a Starbucks addiction?

Much Love!

McDonald's Coffee Float: My two cent (or more) about it

Happy Monday!

How do you start your week? with a cup of tea? Frap? or with coffee?

With me its either way, I don't really get myself settle with only one drink as my go-to one since it can be bad for you. But if you ask me the most common item I reach for is coffee. I don't know specifically, but coffee just gives me that jolt to help me through the day or night.

Cheap Thrills: Great Taste White Coffee

As much as I want to go to Starbucks everyday my wallet is not allowing me. I know I may sound cheap but its true! And also the calories you get in one tall frap is equivalent to two chocolate cakes! I nearly fainted when my friend told me that. But getting my fix once in a while is not bad right?

Going back to the topic, Since I've stopped craving Starbucks that much I found another alternative for it. As I was checking the coffee section I saw this and was a bit curious. I can say that I had doubts about this since it says smoother and creamier can a 3 in 1 coffee do that on its own? hmmmmm....

I personally prefer my coffee with lots of creamer or milk since I don't need to add sugar that much.
One sachet of this is for one serving since if you put half only it would be bland >.<
I like this since I don't have to add sugar to it. But if you like sweet coffee you can add more sugar.

I was just disappointed when there is no bigger size for this at the store I frequently go to. In comparison to the 3 in 1 coffees that I've tried I think this is the one I will buy again since I can just make it without sugar!

Are you a coffee addict and/or Starbucks addict? What's your favorite coffee?

Let me know on the comment box!

Much Love!

Kopiccino - A Cheap but Great Tasting Capuccino

I am an avid coffee drinker, I even had a so-called affair with it! haha and besides from the espresso and frap that I normally order I would sometimes order cappuccino since I like the creamy and frothy.

I actually found this when I was in ministop and just liked to try it out. Its pretty cheap its around 9-12 pesos which is less than a dollar. I must warn you that this will not be like the one that you see on the packet.

In terms of sweetness its okay since I prefer accompanying this with something sweet like a cake or doughnut.

As far as I can say this product is good since its not too sweet nor too bitter. I actually prefer my instant coffee that way since I would accompany this with a sweet treat ^^,

Try this out for sure if you are having a slow afternoon. This will give you that sweet caffeine boost!

Much Love!
