Let's Visit Bohol This 2015!

Personally, I haven't been in Bohol but I have heard so much good things about it. I heard that the natural wonders like the Chocolate Hills, seeing the tarsiers and also the food in Bohol is really a must try. I am really honored to be part of this event and for sure this 2015 I will have my own adventure in Bohol!

Makati City, Philippines - The province of Bohol shows how it defiantly rose from the rubble as it introduces "Visit Bohol 2015," a year-round tourism campaign that aims to revitalize its image and entice more visitors to come to Bohol.

Under the leadership of Gov. Edgar Chatto, this event seeks to position Bohol as a top-notch tourist destination with its amazing natural attractions and also its friendly and honest people.

The tourism campaign kicked off via a three-day Bohol Travel Fair at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati City last January 11 to 13 2015. Organized by the Bohol Provincial Tourism Council Inc. under Atty. Lucas Nunag, the travel fair gathered together all major players in the Bohol tourism sector with an objective of providing a strong boost to Bohol's tourism industry.

"For years, Bohol has always been in the hearts of every Filipino, not only as an eco-cultural tourism landmark but as a home to a number of our country's pride. As we felt how out kababayans share our grief during the devastating catastrophe that hit out provice, we now feel the surge of support as we pave the road to recovery to come back in the tourism map. With Visit Bohol 2015, expect a much better and bolder Bohol - ready to welcome all of you to our beautiful province. We invite you to visit and we awed bot just by the wonderful sited Bohol has to offer, but also by the endearing graciousness, hospitality and trustworthiness of Boholanos," says Governor Chatto during the opening ceremonies of the event.

Other partners for "Visit Bohol 2015" include the United States Agency for International Development through its Advancing Philippine Competitiveness Project (USAID-COMPETE), The Department of Tourism (DOT), The United Nations-World Tourism Organization (UN-WTO), and the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), plus local tourism businesses, Ms. Gloria Steele, USAID Mission Director for the Philippines, and DOT Secretary Ramon Jimenez Jr., who is also one of the keynote speakers, are among the many dignitaries at the event.

Bohol also partnered with AirAsia for a year-round low fares for its Manila-Tagbilaran and Manila-Cabu flights to attract more visitors to the province. Also up for grabs at the expo is at least 60% discount on accommodations, tour packages and other travel essentials and various Boholano products.

For entertainment at the event, the travel fair visitors were serenaded by the heavenly voices of the world- famous Loboc Children's choir, who sang popular and classic music for everyone to enjoy.

See you in Bohol this 2015! I will surely put this on my bucket list for 2015!

Much Love!

Six Reasons Why you need to Visit Vikings

Buffets are something that I have a love hate relationship with. I love the variety of food being served without the over priced bill.

The thing that I hate though is I am not good with buffets as much as I like it because if I don't try everything it seems that I wasted my money.

Thankfully with Vikings, I don't have that after guilt. And here are some other factors why you should try Vikings.

They have a mix of everything.

If you want to go around on a food tour without going to one restaurant to another Vikings is really the key. They serve a myriad of dishes from different parts of the world!

One of my favorites is they have different varieties of Kimchi available and also the spiciness isn't much to be bothered about.

Meat lovers galore!

Do you have a penchant for meat and you want to try them all? Head on to Vikings! They have a variety of meat dishes that are perfect for the beginner to advanced meat connoisseurs

Relax and Family friendly atmostphere that is still great on a date.

I noticed that there are a lot of families dining at Vikings but there are some couples that dine in as well. You don't have to feel conscious when you eat there because it have a very cozy atmosphere that families and couples alike will absolutely love

You can leave your bag and don't worry about it.

I am not saying that you do this, but I feel secured leaving my bag on our table because Vikings is fully equipped with HD surveillance cameras to monitor everything which I don't see a lot in some restaurants.

The staff are amazing!

I really take in consideration when eating at a restaurant how the staff treat their customers. The staff at Vikings have a very professional approach to their customers without being snobbish.

Also the staff in handling the food are fully equipped with the standard items like gloves when they handle the food which is really nice and when you ask them about the food they answer very politely.

They opened a new branch at SM Jazz!

One of the things I was really giddy about is they opened a new branch at SM Jazz. I have a lot of friends that live in that area and they are absolutely excited because sometimes we have to go to the other branches of Vikings to dine there.

Overall its a great experience everytime we dine at Vikings. So make sure to visit Viking's latest branch at SM Jazz!

Mr. Fast Foo: Food that is faster than hunger

Chinese food is one of those cuisine that is simple, easy to make and also doesn't take that much time in making. And Mr. Fast Foo is one of the latest Chinese food dining experiences that promises fantastic feasts served fast. And thy claimed that they can serve it in 3 minutes fast! which is the fastest by restaurant industry standards.

Dr. Carlos Almeda, the man behind Mr. Fast Foo is a licensed physician and mechanical engineer. Mr. Almeda combines his knowledge in food science and expertise in engineering to prepare affordable and sumptuous dishes that are fast.
Here are some of their food offerings

Special Fresh Lumpia

If you are looking for an all veggie and tofu with crispy seaweeds, sugared peanuts, cilantro and garlic this can be your pick and also the serving is quite big but the price will not burn your wallet at 90 pesos.

Fried spring rolls

If you like a fried spring roll, Mr. Fast foo also have their take on this healthy mix of veggies wrapped in lumpia wrapper that is deep fried with a dip comprised of soy and vinegar sauce for only 70php.

Lechon Macau

I remember having lechon macau in another restaurant when I was younger and usually this succulent pork with its crispy skin is best served with a steaming bowl of rice. For 109php you can enjoy this delectable treat.

Tongkatsu rice
Tongkatsu is mainly a Japanese dish but a lot of my Chinese friends love this because its crunchiness and tender meat.

They also serve kikiam!

But compared to the store bought one this is very different to it it. The texture is really firm and its has a golden fried outer layer.

One of the things I've noticed with Mr. Fast Foo is that even though they have big serving for their food, the prices are not that expensive.

One of my favorites though is their Buchi. Their take on this famous dessert is they have three flavors like pandan and sweet red beans. And the chewiness is just right that I think this is great for kids too!

You guys should check out Mr. Fast Foo at UST Manila and University Mall in Taft if you want to tast Chinese food but not wait for a long time for it.
