Weekend Comfort food at Chateau Hestia

Sundays are reserved for spending some time with our loved ones and also that includes eating a scrumptious meal with them. A better way to do that is to enjoy great company at Chateau Hestia.

Besides from being a bed and breakfast place, Chateau Hestia also offers delectable food that is fit for the family. Here are some of the food that I tried with some blogger friends of mine.

(R-LBaked Spinach and Mushroom Cannelloni, Kummelbraten, Hestia Garden Salad )
The first three dishes I will share are actually ones that I have tried only at Chateau Hestia.

First off is the Baked Spinach and Mushroom Cannelloni. Its a Sauteed Porcini and button mushrooms and creamed spinach rolled in a home made pasta, which is then baked with bechamel and tomato sauce. This is actually the one that I love the most out of all the food we had because although I utterly disdain spinach, this made me appreciate spinach. It has a very rich sauce that the cannelloni absorbs and makes this dish so good.

Next is the Kummelbraten. Its a Viennese oven-roasted pork belly with caraway seed and garlic, served with servietten knodel and sauerkraut. The meat is really soft and it sort of melts in the mouth. And one surprising thing is whenever I eat pork belly, I would enjoy it with rice or mashed potatoes, but with this dish I can just eat it on its own.

Last is Hestia Garden Salad. Its and assortment of fresh lettuce, microgreens and edible flowers that are grown from Chateau Hestia's neighboring farms. It also contains nuts, seeds, Philippine mangoes, some Greek yooghurt and Palawan honey vinaigrette. This is actually a perfect example of Chateau Hestia's Farm to Table policy which basically ensure its freshness to fully enjoy the food.

Fried Pumpkin Chicken
After those we also had Fried Pumpkin Chicken which is a pumpkin butter-filled chicken that has been fried to golden brown and served with mushroom sauce and scallop potatoes. This is a very savory dish that are great for kids because its really tender and soft to eat.

Chateau Hestia also offers a variety of pizza and also you can request to make your own pizza using the freshest ingredients and meat that they have prepared.

I really miss chateau hestia because besides from the food, the whole ambiance there is really magical and brings peace to me that just sitting there and turning off my phone won't make me miss technology for a whole day. Chateau Hestia would make you appreciate a tech free life with good food and a peaceful ambiance.

You can experience this as well when you visit Chateau Hestia. Chateau Hestia is located at J. Hernandez St. Purok 5, Brgy. Bukal, Silang, Cavite, Philippines 4118
(near Tagaytay City)

Much Love!

xx Alice
