Craving for Smokes Tatay's BBQ

I WENT TO THIS PLACE PRE-COVID19 SO DON'T COME AT ME OKAY?

With all this pandemic situation going on I am just tired of it! I miss going out to be honest and eating out with friends. I suddenly remembered this place at Kapitolyo in Pasig named Smokes Tatay's BBQ. They offer a lot of BBQ staples and of course the atmosphere is just great. I remember i went here with my Hungry Daily Fam and we had a blast.

The interior is more into the night drinking groups but you can still enjoy a full meal at Smokes. We did get some amazing food but I will just share to you my favorites.

DAKS NA DAKS na BBQ. I call it that because this is a 16 inch BBQ which can feed about 4 people or if you ask me I can eat this on my own. The marinate is not that strong but its very juicy. And also its not all fatty parts which is amazing if you want to have this with beer or a cup of rice. Either way I love this.

Their Tapsilog. My goodness this is actually one of the first things I tried and I just love it. the meart was marinated nicely with a little bit of sweetness into it. I would appreciate the egg to be a bit on the runny side but its still great nonetheless.

The different BBQ that they offer. Forgive me if I don't remember each one because this happened pre-covid but what I do remember is how fresh these were and the marinate complements the BBQ to perfection. Again perfect with beer or with a cup of rice so choose your weapon my friend.

Overall I would just like to go back at Smokes after this pandemic with my friends and just drink, eat and enjoy because with great people, any food you share with them will be amazing.

Check out Smokes on their socials. If you do make sure to share my blogpost to them because i miss them lots.

Much Love!

Pandesal and Other Pinoy Favorites at D's Corner

Hey guys! Its been a while since I wrote a full on review. Life happened recently so if I sound kind of weird - This might be because I have been stuck at home WAY.TOO.LONG!

But being stuck at home does not mean we can't enjoy some comfort food - like pandesal!

With all the rage of Ube Pandesal nowadays, it has just become too saturated with other brands that sometimes there has been too many of options we can't seem to decide who makes it better. I have tried some recently and I will share to you one place you can get amazing Ube Pandesal and other Pinoy bread favorite - D's Corner.

D's Corner is an online shop where in you can order Ube Pandesal, Cheese Bread and also Spanish Bread. If this is your first time reading my blog, please be warned that I can get very descriptive when it comes to the food I have tasted so make sure to have food to munch on because I don't want to see comments anymore saying I made them crave or worst Hungry haha!

First one up is their Cheese bread. These bite sized munchies were actually the first one I liked because its packed and the sweetness is just right. Each Cheese bread is packed with flavor and its quite dense and highly addictive if you ask me. The size is also just right to eat while writing or enjoying your favorite show. Let's not kid ourselves that we don't do that okay because I actually do that because being stuck at home would make you do things like this.

The second one I tried is their spanish bread. If you did not grew up around your lolos and lolas you wouldn't know why this is one of their favorites. I grew up with my lola always requesting this as her afternoon snack. As a young child of the 90's most of my afternoons were consisted of being babysat by my grandmother, watching her afternoon dramas with her and just let time pass. This reminded me of those days.

The sweet filling was just enough and its also perfect to be paired with your choice of drink. I remember my grandmother loves to drink coffee alongside her afternoon spanish bread. If you try this with coffee you can thank me later.

Last but definitely not the least, is the ube pandesal. When I first got this I was a bit surprised because it didn't really looked like the usual Ube Pandesal in the market. You can say its not aesthetically pleasing at first because the color looks weird, but don't let that fool you because this actually taste amazing! The bread is soft, flavorful and bouncy. Its quite similar to the bread of Pan De Manila but not as airy as Pan De Manila's Pandesal - Don't come at me okay I am just stating facts!

The filling it has is amazing too because its like it has been layered in the bread to which each bite you will taste it. Its sweet and has quite thick viscosity similar to caramel or yema but not as sweet as that. I like how this bread can be enjoyed on its own or pair it up with your drink of choice. I paired this is almond milk while my nieces and nephew enjoyed it with some milk tea and they loved it.

Overall I would say try D's Corner is definitely the place to try amazing Filipino treats like these! Make sure to place your order on or before Wednesday and your order will be delivered every Saturday.

Check out their social media page here for more information.

Much Love and Stay Safe Always,

Milk Tea Cravings Satisfied with ZTea Cups

Honestly its been a while and I think its time I need to be back to blogging. I MISS WRITING! HONESTLY!

Okay since we are back to business I would just like to share to you this milk tea place I collaborated with for a video about a month ago. Yes I know its weird that its just now that I decided to share to you this but just remember that we are on a state of pandemic and I don't want to be that person people will cancel just because I share food posts - There are people like that look it up! haha!
Okay enough with the chit chat lets get on with this my dearies.

Ztea Cups is a small business that offers milk tea, fruit tea and other specialty drinks. They are located at Veterans Village here in Quezon City but they do offer delivery.

They sent me four drinks which were the Mango Yakult Fruit Tea, Red Velvet Overload, Premium Chocolate and Oreo cheesecake overload.

I am going to be 100% honest here but their milk tea is one of the best. It may be a month since I last tried their drinks and did a video on it but I swear the taste does last.

I would definitely try their Oreo Cheesecake Overload because I remember it was like a whole cheesecake slice was put in the drink by how thick it is. The premium red velvet cheesecake as well is amazing because the consistency is not that watered down and also the cream cheese they add on the drinks are definitely homemade compared to those made with a powder agent which tends to have a gritty sand-like texture compared to the homemade version. Ztea Cups is definitely legit for sure.

If you want to order from Ztea Cups and try their amazing drinks you can order via their Official Facebook here. You can also order via food Panda if you are within 3KM Delivery Radius. But don't worry they do have an in house delivery that has free delivery within Brgy. Veterans Villahe, Bungad, San Antonio and Katipunan.

Their delivery charges to nearby areas are also quite affordable at around P30 to P49 if you are within Cubao, Tatalon, Q.Ave, Timog and nearby locations.

Address:

2 Danupra Street Brgy. Veterans Village Quezon City

Business Hours:

WEEKDAYS: 11AM-7PM

WEEKENDS: 12NN -7:30PM

Check out Ztea Cups and have a great time with their one of a kind drinks this quarantine! And also lets not forget to support small brands such as these that give out great products even during this time.

Much Love!

Koomi is now open at Robinson's Magnolia!

Hey friends! If you are looking for an alternative to your milk tea cravings plus no guilt try this one out - Koomi!

Koomi is an Australian-based company that promises guiltless goodness with its mix of yogurt and "sinkers" like grains, nuts and fruits.

And recently they have opened their latest branch at Robinson's Magnolia and I was able to try it.

I personally love yogurt so its really surprising how the Aussie version of yogurt which is quite tart is a perfect blend with fruits and grain like purple yam!

One of the coolest things about this yogurt place is that there are two ways in enjoying it - The Filipino way and the Aussie way. I have tried the Filipino mix recently and although its creamier, I do prefer the latter because its quite strong and I like how yogurt naturally tastes.

If you would like to know more about Koomi Philippines and also its latest updates make sure to check their social media pages for more information.

Much Love!
